Get to know Imagine: Marie Keller

Here at the Imagine Institute, we pride ourselves in the relationships we build as a community. The people we work with are family. From time to time, we’ll write about our team members so that you can learn more about the people behind the Imagine Institute.

Meet Marie Keller

Name: Marie Keller.
What’s your title/role at Imagine? I am the Director of Career Pathways.
How long have you been with Imagine? I have been with Imagine since it was an inspiration and not yet an organization.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Imagine? My favorite thing about working at Imagine is the opportunity to be innovative in our programs so that we can support ongoing professional opportunities to early childhood educators.

What’s something most people don’t know about you? Before I became a city girl, I was raised on a farm.

If you’re not at work, where would one find you? When I’m not at work, I’d be with my favorite people.
What do you like to do for fun? When I have time, I love to read – real books, not on a tablet. I am also a pretty good pinochle player!
What’s the last book you read? Last book I read was Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown.
Favorite quote: “I’m still learning.” – Michelangelo.
Anything else about Imagine that you’d others to know? Imagine is innovative, and continues to seek solutions and supports for early childhood educators throughout Washington state. We are launching the first-ever Policy Wizard that is an interactive tool designed to help early learning professionals write their program, staff and family policy books in ways that supports the new foundational quality standards.

“Imagine has changed my life! As a long time family child care provider and advocate, I only dreamt of the supports we have built being accessible to providers.” – Marie Keller
